Stay At The Sands040909
My stay there 04-08-09 / 04-11-09 was very valuable, the location i was there to attend was very near the Sands, facilitated my preperations for this event.
I must mention: My wife Edna Perkins did not receive her free 2 night coupon card through the mail. Please review and notify the proper authority to resend to Edna Perkins (916)606-2681 6899 Sailboat Way Sacramento, CA 95831
Thank you for such a rewarding visit to your establishment!

Best price in town.
We go to Reno 2-4 times a year .have stayed in all of the casino hotels in the downtown area, and for the money the Sands is the best deal we stay 5 days each time we come and have a good time, we will come back for years to come.

Dale and I received a 25th anniversary trip from our son to go down in July and stay at the Sands. We were hesitant with all the bad reviews we read on the internet. The only thing we saw or heard that was a detorant was the carpets were stained, the train went by in the early hours of the AM and if you enjoy flat pop from the bar thats the place to order. We still had a great time...We have never stayed at the Sands before when going to Reno---it was not as bad as the reviews you read. If you play table games you could not have friendlier dealers and pit boss' than there. Look up Bill, Conchita, Lulu and Karen, these people are a KICK. Even tho we didn't come home a winner ALL the folks at the Sands were great. Worth checking into. Don't forget to go walk the main drag and visit all the other hotels, we did this and had a great time.

This hotel is a GREAT value..rooms are as nice as many big name hotels that charge premium prices..not too impressed with the food but then their decsion to stay with franchise names (eg Tony Romas) is probably driven by the fact that within a few blocks walking distance are many fine dining places at the higher priced hotels....nice place for the "low roller" to feel comfortable and welcome..player points quickly earn comps and staff is friendly to even the low demonition player..ample parking either outside or in garage..well lit secure...

I was very nervous as soon as i entered the property into the parking lot! The parking lot itself is SO dirty, old looking, and has pipes that come down on a low ceiling! I've stayed at many hotels before, and this was the closest to a motel! When we walked into the hotel...the smell of smoke was very strong compared to others in Reno. The room was so awful! WE must have gotten one of the old, non-remodeled rooms! The carpet was dirty! The bathroom was also VERY dirty! The toilet seat was all worn out, the shower head wasn't as strong as my hose at home!! We were facing the parking structure, where little did i know before i booked this hotel, was by railroad tracks. To my surprise trains would honk and honk at 3am and 7am! The location was trash! I was very disappointed! Next time i will definitely stay at the HILTON next time....it's 100 times better!

The Sands is a great value for the money. we paid $19.00 for our room. i was scared at fist but was happy once we got there. The room was recently renovated. It was a very large rooms compared to most of the rooms in Reno. You realy cannot beat the price. Its just a short walk to the downtown area. If your looking for a quality inexpensive place to stay, you must stay here. The casino is a great place to play also.

WE HAVE STAYED HERE MANY TIMES OVER THE YEARS AND WOULDN'T STAY ANYWHERE ELSE. THE WEEKDAY PRICES OF ABOUT 25 DOLLARS A NIGHT CAN'T BE BEAT. THERE'S A VERY NICE OUTDOOR POOL WITH A BAR, AND LOTS OF EATING POSSIBILITIES. THE ROOMS ARE VERY LARGE AND VERY CLEAN. WE HAVE NEVER HAD PROBLEMS WITH GETTING MORE TOWELS OR PILLOWS AS WE HAVE IN OTHER RENO HOTELS. THEY HAVE A GOOD SLOT CLUB AND SLOTS GALORE. WE LOVE IT!!
