5stars  Love the Fitz
This place is great...When we go to Reno all we do is gamble and eat and the Fitz ia great for both....Most people just need a bed to sleep in for a few hours at the most this place is both comfortable and easy on the $$$....This is the only place we stay now. Right in the middle of the Strip and hop, skip and a jump to all other casinos....Great job....

The Fitz is tacky and cheap... the epitome of the strip. In spite of the mediocre rooms, limited table games, and lackluster service, this is my favorite place to stay in Reno. Dealers are friendly, though often crass. Comps are easily racked up with free room offers coming frequently and with minimal play. The buffet is awful, but cheap. Limerick's serves decent food, but is by no means a bargain... the best bet for food is actually a few doors down at the Nugget Diner. Blackjack and craps go as low as $3 minimum bets, with some frequency. And the elevators are not nearly as slow as their reputation.

I stayed last here in the July/August 2002 timeframe. I can not say much for their rooms and the elevator speed is fast enough that you can order breakfast to order... Despite all that, it has the famous Fitzgeralds hospitality. Everyone who works there has always been friendly and helpful. Each time I visit, I may not win much, but I do go home with more than I went to Reno with, so I can not complain... call that luck! The previous visit over the XMas timeframe, I was sent a card afterwards in appreciation to my patronage at Fitzgeralds... who could ask for more. Look forward to my next visit in January!

This was my hotel choice when I went to Reno for the very first time. Before I review the hotel I have to say that I am used to Las Vegas resorts and it's Impossible to compare the two cities of Las Vegas and Reno. Back to the review. At first when I saw the hotel I was pleased to see the theming outside the hotel. The rainbow was quaint. When I entered I was greatly disappionted. I knew that Reno was no Las Vegas in ANY means but this particular hotel seemed, well, sleasy. I didn't spend much time in the Casino (i travelled over to the Silver Lagacy). The location was great but the Hotel was majorly disappointing and a waste of time. Sorry Fitzgerald, you need to up the ante
